A very nice hotel, ideal for a stop-off when driving Route 1. The room was bright, practical and comfortable, with a desk and lots of power sockets. Staff were friendly and efficient, even though we arrived at the same time as a large coach party who were all checking in separately. Breakfast was excellent - lots of choice and lovely bread. Dinner was fine in terms of price and quality. The architecture, of long corridors radiating from the centre, meant rooms were bright, all were on the ground floor, and I imagine it's very practical in winter. The central areas were also bright and nicely furnished. There is a small shop.

I thought this hotel was excellent for the purpose of my trip. My sister and I were roadtripping the south coast over two days and we really just needed a place to stay at the end of the day. We used this as a stopping point for traveling back from the south coast to Reykjavik. The breakfast was awesome which was very exciting to start another long day of road tripping. There is a restaurant and bar that look nice but we did not eat there. I am willing to bet the food was probably decent as I felt there was not a lot of options as we travelled the south coast

We had a cabin with a private hot tub which, unfortunately, wasn't "on" when we arrived and hence we couldn't use as it would take too much time to heat up. We ended up using the public hot tub instead which was OK, but there was a big group of students there that night and it wasn't very relaxing or peaceful. Otherwise, the cabin was comfortable and spacious enough for our group of 5. The breakfast (included in our reservation) was very good, worth it!

Bistro was welcoming and friendly with a nice causal vibe. Food was good value (for Iceland!). Buffet breakfast was good with a few hot things like bacon, scrambled egg and beans, although I prefer a continental breakfast with ham/cheese/boiled egg etc. I didn’t use the hot tubs/sauna so can’t comment. Rooms were modern and compact - peaceful environment

Vanessa

Great breakfast included in the cost of the room. We were able to enjoy the outdoor hot tub for about 2 hours on our own, unfortunately one of the hot tubs seemed to be significantly cooler than the other. We were happy that after 15 minutes we were able to move into the warmer tub since it was cool in the evening.
